Dec 31, 2021
This article summarizes the year 2021 with a brief description about our end of year routine.
The year 2021 involved a lot of trials and errors on the changes made in 2020. The online classes with Belgian fellows and some others were repeatedly held and found effective, with significant supports of our members. We were quite excited when the class with Ichi Dojo in Arlon was even featured in a local TV show. Meanwhile, the registration of Sofu-jutsu in Japan Patent Office was also accepted, securing our freedom of training in Japan.
At the end of 2021, we held the event of Oosoji (大掃除: cleaning day) just like 2020.
In addition, some of our members went to the local shrine on Dec. 31st to support the event of Otakiage (お焚き上げ: ritual burning of used charms, talismans and other religious decorations).
As we were not able to attend last year due to the pandemic, we were delighted that our routines to support our neighbors are slowly coming back to normal.
Overall, the year 2021 had been the time of difficulties which required patience and flexibility from each of our members. We would like to appreciate all the support that helped us overcome those tasks. May the greatest luck be with you all and Happy New Year!
